Mihail Kogalniceanu (1817-1891) was a Romanian liberal politician, lawyer, historian and publicist Romanian born in Moldova, who became Prime Minister of Romania on October 11, 1863, during the reign of Alexandru Ioan Cuza. He later served as Foreign Minister under the reign of Carol I. He was several times the Interior Minister under Cuza and Carol reigns, being as one of the most influential Romanian intellectuals of his generation (situated on the moderate flow of liberalism). The bust was made by sculptor Wladislav Hegel.

Biserica Sfântul Nicolae
St. Nicolae church was built in 1495 by Stefan cel Mare (Stephen the Great). The interior painting, which was made at the beginning of the 16th century, during the rule of Stefanita Voda, his grandson, is extremely valuable, as it represents a decisive point in the evolution of the mural painting of Moldova. Inside there is still kept a votive painting of the founders, paited in fresco: Stefan cel Mare and Lady Maria Voichita, Bogdan-Voda, their son, and Stefanita Voda. Particularly valuable is the frieze of Christ’s Passions, depicted on the 3 walls of the nave. The most notable scene of all is „Crucifixion”, painted under a brilliant monumental spirit, which is characterised by simplicity and archaism.
Adormirea Maicii Domnului Church
The church building date is not known precisely, but it is assumed that the foundation would have been laid by Stefan cel Mare (Stephen the Great), after a war with the Tatars on Jijia waters, near Verbea. According to an inscription kept in Suceviţa Monastery, it is said to have been built by Isak Balica as found in the inscription of the porch. The church itself was built before the year 1612, when Hetman Balica was beheaded

„Coşula” Stone Bridge
The medieval bridge of Cosula village is a stone bridge over the Miletin River, built in the eighteenth century. The first stone bridge was built in 1503 during the reign of Stefan cel Mare (Stephen the Great), and the current stone bridge was built in the eighteenth century, with the establishment of Greek monks at the Monastery of Cosula.
St Ierarh Nicolae Church
Church „St. Nicholas”, located in the center of Bucecea locality, was erected in 1787 by the former inhabitants of the village Vâlceşti. This church was originally built of wood, and in 1888 they began its reconstruction of stone, completed in 1891.
Nicolae Iorga memorial house
„Nicolae Iorga” memorial house dates from the second half of the 19th century. It is in this house, built in Moldavian style, that the great historian Nicolae Iorga was born and spent his childhood. The house is an exceptional exhibition space, which retains a significant number of pieces with patrimonial value, related to the life and work of Nicolae Iorga. Original pictures of the family and of the great historian himself dating from several moments of his life, Dr Honoris Causa degrees received from famous educational institutions from Europe (Sorbonne, Cambridge, Rome) and a great number of books written by Nicolae Iorga, many of them in „princeps” edition, as well as newspapers and magazines that he editted and coordinated outline the extraordinary dimension of one of the greatest personalities of the Romanian and universal culture.
Ciomac Cantemir House, today the headquartes of „Ştefan Luchian” Foundation
Ciomac Cantemir House -typical house of tradesmen from the old medieval ensemble of Botosani was builtin 1800 in Moldavian style, with a Brancoveanu porch, and includes 4 rooms: the boyard’s salloon, the workshop, the art galleries and the headquarters of Stefan Luchian Foundation – in the workshop room one ca find objects that belonged to the great painter – his sickbed, field easel, desk,pallette, folder, two photos, a diary page, etc.
St Parascheva Church
The current church was built in 1815, to replace a former wooden curch, by the believers in the neighbourhood, who used to form the guild of shoemakers.
St Ilie Church ( Church of furriers)
The church was built by the guild of furriers of Botosani.
