Church of shop keepers and basket weavers,today ” Three Hierarchs” Church
Church „Three Hierarchs” was made only from beams and no steeple, and its founder was the first Greek merchant Constantin Gheorghiu as mentioned in the Greek inscription above the door at the church entrance: „This holy church in the city was made by Constantine Gheorghiu, by the power of God and with the help of Christians in 1789 May 8 days. „And later the belfry was built: „And on April 15 1833, the steeple was built again through church wall ascension, by Ioan Gheorghiu Hariton trustee’s zeal, with the help of Christians and performed by the following: trustee Neculai Apostol, and steward Gheorghe Buzneanu, 1837 September 20. „
„Adormirea Maicii Domnului” Armenian Church
Built in the 18th century, the „Assumption” church is the oldest Armenian church in Romania, as attested by the inscription that dates back from 1350.
„Nașterea Maicii Domnului” Old rite Church
The current church building was erected on the site of an old wooden chapel in 1853. The ancient rite Orthodox Christian Church has some common elements to the other Orthodox churches, and a number of peculiarities. In general, the shape of the Lipovan church resembles that of the Orthodox churches, with its semicircular altar, facing East direction. The individual element that appears in a Lipovan church is determined by the presence of the cross with eight ends (some also call it the eight corners cross).
„Întâmpinarea Domnului” and „St. Împărați” Church
Candlemas Church (Church Rosetti) was founded by the magistrate Costache Rosetti and his wife, Maria, in 1826. The architecture differs from other churches Botosani through its originality, as it was built in Byzantine style with neoclassical elements. The specificity bof the church is brought by the zig zag arrangement of the iconostasis (because the church is very small inside), which is rarely encountered.

The bust of Mihai Eminescu from the Revolution Square (in front of Mihai Eminescu Theatre) dates from 1960, and was made by the sculptor Ovidiu Maitec.
Historian Nicolae Iorga’s bust
Nicolae Iorga original name Nicu N. Iorga) was born on June 6, 1871 in Botosani and died on November 27, 1940 at Stejnic, Prahova County. He was a Romanian historian, literary critic and documentarian, playwright, poet, encyclopedist, memoirist, minister, MP, Prime Minister, professor and academician. He is known to the world as a historian of the Mediaevalt, Byzantine, Roman Slavic times, an art historian and philosopher of history. He had a prolific scientific activity, writing 1.003 books, 12.755 articles and 4.963 studies and reviews, culminating with the history of Romania, in ten volumes. The bust of the historian was made by sculptor Oscar Han and dates from 1923.
Poet Mihai Eminescu’s bust
In 1889, during a Congress of the Romanian students held in Ploiesti, the student of that time Corneliu Botez, from Botosani (later writer and legal adviser of the Court of Cassation ) proposed the settlement in Botosani of a bust in the memory of the Morning Star of the Romanian Poetry.
Monumen to the heroes of World War I
The monument dedicated to the heroes of the First World War, work of the sculptor Horia Miclescu based in Botoşani, is one of the symbols of the city. As the name implies, the monument is dedicated to the heroes of World War I, one of them being Major Grigore Ignat, killed in a fight in Mărăşeşti. He had received the order to stop the advance of the enemy. In order to comply with it, Major Ignat took the decision to fight to the last man, and eventually he and his company were found dead with the machine guns in their arms. The monument is quite overwhelming: on a high pedestal there are three soldiers, one crashed, the other kneeling, with the gun in his arms, recently hurt, just pulling the last bullet, and the third one is standing and uncharges the last shots off his gun, evoking in a grand manner the heorism of Marasesti battle. On the pedestal of the monument there is a marble plaque with the inscription „Monument of the Machine Guns Division of Major Grigore Ignat … under attack.”
