Tudora forest reservation

Tudora forest reservation is situated in the Northwestern side of Dealu Mare – Tudora (Bobeica Hill), on a 550 metre altitude. The natural area has a 117,60 ha surface and represents a decidous forest area, with steppe vegetation and meadows, in whose perimetre grows the tree species of yew (Taxus baccata), whoch was declared a natural monument.

Ciornohal forest reservation

Ciornohal forest reservation has a 76,50 ha surface and represents a forest area of deciduous forest, consosting mainly of oak trees (Quercus robur) and hornbeam (Carpinus betulus). It is considered to be the most Northern place where a large shrub, known under the name of smoketree, belonging to the Cotinus coggygria species.

Stânca – Costești reservation

The reservation of Stânca-Costești has great geological and flora complexity. It is situated in the sub-area of siolvosteppe of Moldovei Field, and has the shape of a calcarous spear, made up of clay and loess deposits, known as the „Lady’s House”. This picturesque carstic reef hosta a rare thermophile plant, Schivereokia podolica. For this species, the area of Stânca Costeşti is the most western part of its habitat. The natural Taxus baccata reservation is alo worth mentioning in Dealu Mare – Tudora.
